French bulldog crypto canine
The Frenchiecorn is perhaps the rarest of the Crypto Canines I've described. The literature is pretty vague about these little frolicing pups. Perhaps one of the reasons for this scarcity is it has been told they only come out to play in the rays of a mountain rainbow. There are conflicting reports that they do appear for a short time during the summer solstice.
There was a story about a hiker who had fallen from a high cliff face on her morning hike. Thinking she was done for she started to drift into unconsciousness. At that very moment a Frenchiecorn appeared before her. She reached out in her delirium and touched the mythical canines horn, her only thought was of seeing her family one more time. When she awoke she was surrounded by her family. They told her they had a sudden urge to come and look for her and instantly found the spot where she had slipped down the rockface. When she told them of the Frenchiecorn they ascribed it to the shock of the fall. The one thing that no one could ever explain was how she didn't have a scratch on her after such a tremendous fall. So if you ever get a chance to touch a Frenchiecorn horn make your wish a good one because it's said "Forlorn are those who don't make a wish on a Frenchiecorn horn."
